Beanstack

Beanstack Tracker is a mobile and web application used by schools, public libraries, and families to log reading progress, participate in reading challenges, and earn digital badges. It replaces traditional paper reading logs with digital tracking.

Getting Started

  • Download the Beanstack app or go to “Beanstack.com” on your computer.

  • Click “Find your school or library”

  • Select St. Teresa

  • You will then need to sign in with your username and password

  • Your username is your first name initial and then your last name (ex. tbilyeu) and the initial password is “beanstack”

  • Challenges in progress will be on your Dashboard

Logging (from the app)

  • Select the blue “+” sign at the bottom

  • Choose “log reading”

  • Enter your book via ISBN, Title or manual if the title isn’t found

  • Select the current book

    • Start timer as you begin reading OR

    • Log Reading if forgot to start timer

    • Quick log if finished book (will not count towards pages or minutes)

*Also, for Faculty, I can either create a challenge for your class if they are all reading a particular book OR I can give you limited access to create your own challenge.

Student Prizes

  • Students receive prizes for minutes and books read.  

  • Students earn points for their class, and each quarter, the class with the most minutes logged, will get donuts before school. 

  • The top reader for each English class will receive a prize at the end of the year.  

  • The student who has logged the MOST minutes reading will receive an Amazon Kindle
